The newest nazi zombie sensation, out on home video August 31. Although I've heard mixed things about it, I missed the chance to see it during its limited theatrical release. Too curious to pass it up, just added it to the ol' Netflix queue...

As you may know, I've been looking forward to this one for some time now, and am contemplating making a run to NYC to check it out in its limited theatrical release (Alas, I was there today, but with the kiddies. And as hip to the horror thang as they may be, I ain't about to expose 'em to the undead S.S.)

So I'm sharing with you tonight this very special, hot-off-the-presses (or whatever videos are hot off of) brand new trailer for the Norwegian zom-com that has everyone talking. Despite Tenebrous Kate's recent disappointing review, I think I'm going to have to stick it out and hope for the best on this one!

Nazi Zombies! In Norway!! Watch Now!!!

How could you not love this? Looks like the ultra-niche Nazi-zombie sub-sub-genre is back, thanks to Norwegian filmmaker Tommy Wirkola and his promising-looking film Dead Snow. It's the story of a bunch of snow-boarding millennial types who stumble upon some Nazi gold in the mountains of Norway, thus incurring the wrath of a horde of undead krauts. Check out the awesomeness:




I especially love the look of the zombies--kind of video game inspired without looking CG. And an Indiana Jones reference, no less!

The horror comedy has been announced as an official selection at this year's Sundance Film Festival, which should help quite a bit with international distribution. Score another one for foreign horror!
