David Bray Show 2011

This show is one not to miss! One love to the Bray....

'Great Disasters of the 20th Century'
By David Bray
04.02.11 - 27.02.11
Bray creates delicate and time-consuming drawings which explore emotion, utopia and a world of fantasy through his subject matter of the beautiful and erotic, but the unnatainable female form.

In his upcoming new solo show Bray is inspired by the record ‘Great Disasters of the Twentieth Century’ by Georg Lubitzer, on which there is a track called 70 days. “This track inspired me to do a drawing a day for 70 days, whatever style or content of that particular drawing dictated the style or content of the larger drawings - which evolved over the same period of time. Each drawing has a variety of mark making styles within it. The record details the occult, Egyptology, loss, magic and the supernatural - and i have tried to reflect that in the work”

Nike Air Max Infrared 90s Re-Release

Nike Air Max Infrared 90's could possibly be one of the best Nike designs ever by Tinker Hatfield. They have been globally re-released this year in limited numbers. And I have to say that they look even better when modelled by Justene Jaro for Primitive Shoes' new photoshoot!

Sneakers As Sculpture

Recently shown at Gallery Speak For in Shibuya, Tokya was "Tenki" an exhibit of reconstructed sneakers by artist Mita Shiniti. Using stark white Nike Dunk hi-tops, Shiniti has removed the rubber sole allowing the shoes to be used as flexible and formed pieces of leather, opening up unlimited possibilities for re-stitching them back together in unusual ways.
