Creative Animal Portraits by Andrew Zuckerman


Andrew Zuckerman is an American photographer who was. He first interned at the International Center of Photography in New York. He then went onto study in the School of Visual Arts to study photography and film, where he graduated in 1999. He has received many awards, including D&AD, One Show, BDA, and multiple annuals. Much of his work has been commissioned for multiple brands throughout the world. In 2007 he completed his first film, High Falls, premiered at Sundance Film Festival For this film he won best short narrative at the Woodstock Film Festival.



There have been 3 books published by Andrew Zuckerman. The first is Creature, a portrait series of animals. It was released worldwide in November 2007 to critical acclaim and is now in its fourth printing. Wisdom, a book, film, and traveling exhibition. It was released in October 2008 and is an ongoing production with multiple volumes made with the support of Archbishop Desmond Tutu; Andrew photographed and interviewed the world’s most eminent elders, from Judi Dench to Nelson Mandela, creating a comprehensive account of their perspectives on life. The latest book, Bird, is a visual study of birds from the rarest to the most common and was released in October 2009.

Andrew Zuckerman has teamed up with Archbishop Tutu again for a similar project called Music, which follows the same aesthetic and thematic principles of Wisdom, but will feature 50 musicians of all age groups.

In April 2010, the Wisdom Exhibit will begin touring North America. The first showing will be at the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center in New York.

In 2006 Andrew co-founded Late Night and Weekends. He was an Executive Producer for their renown documentary on Bill Withers, titled "Still Bill."
