Brought up in downtown Manhattan, Carter Smith has spent the past fifteen years traveling the world, documenting people and places in gritty detail. During this time, Smith’s pictures have appeared in countless books and magazines while exhibiting his work in galleries around the Globe. Smith’s involvement in music is legendary having directed Three Days, an internationally acclaimed chronicle of Jane’s Addiction’s ‘Relapse Tour’ as well as numerous music videos, CD and DVD covers for some of music’s biggest sensations.
Smith’s additional directorial work includes Skate Maps, a television series that debuted in 2005 on the Fox Network, and Love Rome, a feature film released in 2004 to critical acclaim internationally.
